The broadsides on the Halberd Class Heavy Cruiser have a greater range than the Skyhammer Class, so that a full squadron of Halberds can link fire with powerful barrages earlier in a battle, hammering their enemies for longer. It is also tougher and has a larger contingent of marines, giving it more staying power and providing more of a threat against ships with weak crew complements. The designers of the Halberd also expanded its options by installing forward and aft torpedoes.
