In 1939 and 1940 Germany unleashed their Blitzkrieg on the world. At the spearhead of this lightning war were the light panzer companies. The combination of light tanks armed with 2cm cannon and machine-guns backed by well-armoured Panzer III tanks with their 3.7cm guns proved unbeatable. The panzer forces outmanoeuvred and outfought every opponent they faced.
