The Directorate

The Directorate are the guiding force that has funded, supplied and encouraged the build up of war material leading up to the Dindrenzi invasion of the Storm Zone. Their leader, Chairman Ervan Bas, lived through the Terran War, and holds a fierce grudge against the politicians of the Terran Alliance.

The Directorate have a very direct and functional approach to space combat. Their plasma turrets cover the main arcs with a fairly even amount of AD, so that they can cruise around their enemies or blast into close range depending on the demands of the battle. Their Battleship in particular has one of the strongest all round collection of weapon systems, but suffers from a lack of Aft weaponry, as do most of the vessels in the fleet.

This fleet does not have Shields, but make up for it with a durable Ship design and a general philosophy that entails destroying enemy Ships quicker than their opponents can destroy their own. They have low CP and PD, as they have small crews of often elite personnel, supported by a high AP comprising of robot soldiers.

Their enemies sometimes refer to them as the black crabs, largely because of the aesthetic design of their vessels. The Directorate are feared however for the unpredictability of their attacks on remote settlements and facilities, in what are typically considered black ops missions by the tacticians of the Kurak Alliance.
